Lowy Institute Senior Fellow for East Asia Richard McGregor says China prefers the Iran war to “hurt the US”. Mr McGregor told Sky News Australia that China still wants to avoid a “crater” in the global economy. “As to getting their hands diplomatically dirty, I don’t think that’s really happening at the moment.”
