Two people were killed and two others seriously injured after a car drove into a crowd in the eastern German city of Leipzig on Monday, reported Xinhua, quoting local media. Leipzig Mayor Burkhard Jung told Leipziger Volkszeitung that two people had died in the incident. The suspected driver has been apprehended, and there is no longer any immediate threat to public safety.
