Bulgaria to no longer provide weapons to Ukraine: PM

The Bulgarian government will no longer provide weapons to Ukraine, Prime Minister Rumen Radev said on Wednesday at a meeting of the Council of Ministers, reported Xinhua. We have already given enough, Radev said as cited by the government's press office, adding that his country continues to suffer socio-economic damage from the conflict. A peaceful solution will not be achieved by military means, he said, calling for a comprehensive, realistic approach and diplomatic solution to the crisis in Ukraine. Radev said that strengthening the rule of law, democratic institutions and the defense capabilities of the Bulgarian Army is what is really needed to invest in the country's future. The prime minister further said that the security and well-being of Bulgarian citizens remain the government's top priority. Bulgaria has provided 13 aid packages to Ukraine since the conflict broke out in 2022, Bulgarian National Radio reported.
