Body of teenage boy recovered in Kent as UK heatwave’s water-related death toll hits 10

The body of a teenage boy has been recovered from open water in Kent in the 10th water-related death during the UK heatwave.Emergency services responded to concerns for the boy’s safety on Wednesday.A Kent Fire and Rescue Service statement said: Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of concern for a person in water nearControl operators sent two fire engines, a water safety unit, and the technical rescue unit to the scene. Kent Police and SECAmb also attended. Sadly, the body of a teenage boy was recovered.
