‘Real Time’ host Bill Maher has denounced Americans disappointed that US President Donald Trump survived a third assassination attempt. On Friday, Maher addressed the shooting at the White House Correspondents Association (WHCA) dinner. The shooting, undertaken by 31-year-old Cole Toman Allen, reportedly targeted key members of the Trump administration.
During an episode of ‘Real Time’, Maher called out those who found the attempt on Trump funny or were upset he survived. “If you’re one of these people – and there’s many in this country – who watched that and was disappointed the president wasn’t killed… you’re not a good person. Or a smart person,” Maher said.
