BBC Dragons' Den stars rush to support fellow investor as they announce exit after 10 years on show

Touker Suleyman has revealed he is stepping away from BBC's Dragons' Den following a decade on the popular business programme.The 72-year-old retail entrepreneur shared the news via Instagram on Saturday morning, describing his time on the show as 10 extraordinary years.In his statement, Mr Suleyman expressed that sitting in the famous chair had been an immense privilege, allowing him to connect with countless passionate business founders and back ventures he genuinely believed in.The fashion mogul explained that reaching 72 has prompted reflection on his priorities, stating his conviction that great institutions must evolve and declaring it was time for new blood to take my seat in the Den. TRENDING Stories Videos Your Say Mr Suleyman spoke of his pride in every deal struck, every pitch he challenged, and each founder he had the honour of supporting throughout his tenure.The show gave me a platform not only to invest in leading British founders and companies, but to share hard-won wisdom built over decades in business - and I hope that, in some small way, I made a difference to those who stood opposite me, he wrote.The businessman confirmed that viewers will have one final opportunity to see him in action, with his last episodes scheduled to broadcast later this year.Looking ahead, Mr Suleyman indicated that leaving the programme would free him to dedicate more time to mentoring the entrepreneurs he has backed and sharing his five decades of commercial experience with the next generation.His fellow Dragons were quick to offer their support beneath his Instagram post.Sara Davies, who has sat alongside Suleyman for six years, commented: You are just the most amazing dragon Touks and it's been a highlight of my career sitting beside you for 6 years and soaking up your wisdom.You'll be a huge miss on the show!
