Artemis II crew edges closer to Moon’s far side

Artemis II astronauts are on track to reach the Moon’s far side by Tuesday, marking the furthest distance humans have travelled from Earth. They are expected to enter the Moon’s “sphere of influence” on Monday, where its gravity will begin pulling the Orion spacecraft. The crew will be the first to directly observe the far side of the Moon, which always faces away from Earth.
