Artemis II completes module separation, raise burn as Orion nears Earth return, Pacific splashdown

The Orion capsule separated from its European service module as the Integrity crew gets set for reentry into Earth's atmosphere after trip to the moon. Artemis II is on its way back to Earth, marking a historic moment as the first crewed mission of NASA’s Artemis program to travel beyond low Earth orbit. The Orion capsule is due Friday, April 10, to reenter Earth's atmosphere following their moon mission in a water landing around 8:07 p.m.
