Artemis II captures earthshine and solar corona in rare eclipse

Onboard NASA’s Orion spacecraft, astronauts witness a solar eclipse near the Moon, an event not visible from Earth. Footage shows the Sun’s corona glowing from behind the Moon, while the tiny dot in the distance is Earth. “The earthshine is very distinct, and it creates quite an impressive visual illusion," An Artemis II astronaut tells mission control.
