Arribazon turns pain into purpose with I’ll Rise Up

“Many people reach a point where they feel like giving up, so every line, pitch, and tone was crafted to motivate listeners and encourage strength during difficult times.”The single comes in the aftermath of the untimely death of fellow TikToker Niah Gang, an experience Arribazon described as one of the most painful moments he has endured.“This song came after dealing with trauma and the rumours that followed,” he explained.“With the support of my family, co-workers, and team, I managed to hold my ground and recover from what I call the lowest point of my life.”Produced by Dejuan Records and Campsyde Entertainment, the song came together unexpectedly during a studio session.“Dejuan played me a fresh beat, and instantly I started singing the line ‘I’ll Rise Up,’” Arribazon recalled. “I even listened to Andra Day’s Rise Up for inspiration because I wanted my song to carry a similar uplifting message, while keeping my lyrics original. In less than half an hour, the song was fully written.”For the entertainer, the new release represents growth and emotional healing, especially following previous tracks like Time Too Hard Remix and Nobody Knows.“Nobody Knows reflected a sad, traumatised Arribazon, while I’ll Rise Up shows a motivated, uplifted version of myself,” he explained.Social media, particularly TikTok, has played a significant role in Arribazon’s growing success, helping him build a fanbase stretching across Africa, India, and the United States. While viral moments and controversy have shaped parts of his journey, he said those experiences only strengthened his mindset.“They made me into an artiste who’s very hard to discourage,” he said. “I’ve learned how to use hate as fuel on my drive to success.”Music also runs deep within Arribazon’s family. His father, gospel and reggae artiste Bonanzzah, introduced him to songwriting and taught him the fundamentals of the music business from an early age, including how to register songs and navigate the recording process.Adding to the momentum surrounding the single, a music video directed by Razablade Films is currently in the works and will feature several members of Arribazon’s family, including his mother, brother, and father.“The storyline is very meaningful and inspiring,” Arribazon said. “It’s something the entire family can watch and take a lesson from.”Looking ahead, the entertainer is focused on releasing more singles while working toward an EP slated for next year. Still, he said the core message behind I’ll Rise Up remains rooted in faith, perseverance, and hope.“I want listeners to know they can do all things through Christ, who strengthens them.
