It’s hard to see how the public can have any confidence in the sanctity of the separatist petition, or the names on it, after this. More to the point, it’s hard to see how the province could conduct a months-long referendum campaign when the names, addresses and contact information of 2.9 million Albertans are floating around in the digital ether.
