Sky News analyst Michael Ware highlights inconsistencies between the narratives presented by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump. “This is really a war of narratives, who gets to set the story of this war, whether it’s Washington or Tehran, but of course Tel Aviv gets a vote in this narrative,” Mr Ware told Sky News Australia.
“It's telling that the pressure is starting to show … in the cracks that are appearing with the US-Israeli relationship and alliance. “The Israelis just want to keep going … the Americans are trying to pretend the combat is over, now part of that is domestic pressure because technically Congress should be the ones to declare war and they have to approve military actions. “What Rubio and others are trying to do right now is say … we are no longer at war.”
